Major Initiatives

Social Service Institutions at Mutholath Nagar

One of the shining achievements of Fr. Abraham Mutholath is his collaboration with the Kottayam Social Service Society of the Archdiocese of Kottayam. Together, they have established invaluable resources to uplift the differently abled and marginalized segments of society. These initiatives include:

  1. Agape Bhavan (Centre): Inaugurated on January 2, 2006, this center is a hub of empowerment. It offers comprehensive training and income generation programs for individuals who are physically and mentally challenged. Moreover, it provides a vital space for self-help groups to gather, collaborate, and find employment opportunities.
  2. Good Samaritan Centre: A beacon of hope since its inauguration on August 21, 2011, the Good Samaritan Centre focuses on the holistic development of blind-deaf children and offers state-level training for community-based rehabilitation (CBR) staff. This center also doubles as a center for vocational training, equipping youth with essential skills for a brighter future.
  3. Mutholath Auditorium: An essential addition to the philanthropic landscape, the Mutholath Auditorium, inaugurated on February 14, 2017, plays a pivotal role in sustaining programs for the differently abled. Its income generation efforts contribute significantly to the continuation of these crucial initiatives.
  4. Impact Centre: An embodiment of dedication, the Impact Centre, completed on July 27, 2023, stands as a residential institution. It serves as a training ground for camps conducted by the Good Samaritan Centre and offers temporary accommodation for visitors from distant locations.
